av A Rejoinder to Ogden et al.’s “Counterfactuals” of Effects of Vaccination and Public Health Measures on COVID-19 Cases in Canada: What could have Happened?”
Members of the CCCA evaluate the conclusions of a recent paper by Ogden et al. which cited the success of the public health measures in limiting the number of COVID-19 deaths in Canada. Their evaluation reveals errors in the assumptions used in the modelling as well as flaws in the model itself. For these reasons, the claimed benefits of the public health policy are not valid. In addition, failing to incorporate the known harms of the policies provides a biassed assessment of any impacts.
